Senior Professor Sean P. Kelley is a 7th Degree Black Belt in Ed Parker’s American Kenpo with over 20 years of teaching experience. Drawing on his expertise and his many years of experience teaching instructors and students of all levels, Mr. Kelley has designed a unique personal training course in Ed Parker’s American Kenpo.
These DVDs focus on the principles, basics, and interrelationships (links and parallels) of techniques that have often been overlooked in the traditional Parker’s American Kenpo curriculum. Mr. Kelley’s goal is to help every Kenpo student, whether beginner or advanced, unlock and understand the “DNA Code” of information which makes up the underlying structure of Mr. Parker’s system.
BASICS: In the first disc, Mr. Kelley explains and analyzes the Basic Skills necessary to learn and master Mr. Parker’s system. Always emphasizing flow, balance and accuracy, Professor Kelley highlights the details of motion needed to establish strong, functional basics.
TECHNIQUES: Discs two through six cover techniques from Yellow Belt through Green Belt, one level per disc. Each technique is demonstrated in the “ideal phase” to clarify principles, promote accuracy, encourage economy of motion, and aid viewer retention.
